Self paced kits & workshops

The workshops below are taught via a series of comprehensive and practical video tutorials that you can work through at your own pace. Opt in for a materials/tool kit or purchase access to the tutorials only and source your own (a kit list will be provided).

You will have continued access to my video tutorials so can log in and out as works best for you. Each workshop also comes with a list of useful links and resources, which explain how to scale up and down to make the same book in different shapes/sizes.

These kits make for great gifts and I will happily include a special message and wrap up extra nice at no extra cost – just get in touch once you have made a purchase to discuss.

Layered Cross Stitch Journal

Layered Cross Stitch

My most popular kit and tutorial combo – this leather or vegan leather journal contains a mix of patterned and plain papers bound together with a decorative exposed cross stitch.

A great technique that makes for an eye-catching sketchbook, diary or journal, with lots of opportunity to personalise. Buy access to just the tutorials or add a specially curated bookbinding kit with all the tools and materials you need to make 2 A6 size books. If you already have the tools you can also buy access to just the materials.

Mini Bookbinding

Create 4 mini leather or pleather covered books, each featuring a different exposed stitch and fastening technique – these make great gifts and are a brilliant way to use up off cuts and smaller pieces remnant material.

Kit option includes everything you need plus some chocolate coins and my favourite Chai tea to bring some festive vibes.

Coptic Binding

Get to grips with Coptic Binding and create a hardback A6 portrait and A7 landscape book with collaged cover and button / ribbon fastening. A decorative stitch that makes for a great sketchbook, Artists Book, photo album and/or memory book.

The Sketchbook Selection

This kit includes all the tools, materials and know how to make 3 of my favourite book structures – an accordion fold book, Japanese Stab Bound book and an exposed long stitch leather/pleather journal. A great opportunity to get to grips with a range of book making techniques and create a collection of books in various sizes, from A7 to A5 that make great sketchbooks, notebooks and journals.

Bookbinding & Botanicals

Part foraging and plant identification, part mark-making and bookbinding – Bookbinding & Botanicals will inspire you to get back to nature and get creative, with lots of ideas on how to use a range of low-fi mark making techniques. Make along with me and create a bounty of beautiful books that can be used as nature journals, notebooks and/or sketchbooks, plus a collection of leaf stamps that can be used again and again for lots of different craft projects.
