The Art of Journaling – 1 September

I’m teaming up with Artist and Writer Julie Galante for this special workshop, which brings together the craft of bookbinding and journaling. Included in the price is an Art of Journalling materials/tool kit, access to ‘how to’ video tutorials and a live online session to facilitate your journaling journey.

My video tutorials will take you through all the steps to make an A5 refillable journal with room for 4 booklets – a great addition to your collection that will last you a lifetime and can be refilled again and again. I’ll also cover how to make handy pockets and envelopes to hold your treasures/receipts, and introduce some finishing touches that will ensure your journal is both functional and fabulous.

Kits will be posted out mid-August and I will give you a special code to access my step by step tutorials to coincide with this, which you can watch and work through at any point.

*This builds on the Midori style journal workshops I ran in April and is a larger more sturdy version that makes for a great personal organiser/journal.

The Art of Journalling kit comes with everything you need to make your journal, including the tools you need to make more booklets at home – so you need never buy another notebook again!

If you already have the tools (awl, cork punch board, ruler, bookbinding needle), just drop me an email and I can include some extra materials for making booklets in place of these.

The Art of Journaling live session, hosted by myself and Julie, will take place on Zoom on Tuesday 1 September, with the option to take part in the morning 10am-12pm, or evening 6-8pm. The session will share:

  • Guidance on how to get going with your new journal – some writing exercises designed to tap into our creativity and promote wellbeing.
  • Ideas on how to approach a journalling practice and the benefits that regular writing can bring.
  • Methods such as free writing, gratitude journaling, mind mapping.
  • Some creative ideas for how to put your booklets together to assist your journaling.
By the end of the session, you’ll be inspired to get started with your own journalling practice.

We are capping numbers to 10 participants per session so that we can create an interactive and informal group to support your journaling journey.

Kits will be posted out mid August and you have the option to make your journal before the Zoom workshop on 1 September or after – either way will work.

  • We are currently only set up to post within the UK, that said, if you are willing to pay extra to cover postage, get in touch to discuss and we can work something out –

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

*Morning session now full* – if you would like to join this workshop but can’t make the evening journalling session on 1 September, please note: we are planning to record the session so can share with you following the event – if this option suits you, email who will notify you how to book your place.
