It’s great to get my weekly classes back up and running again – these usually take place in my studio in Edinburgh or in partnership with the Edinburgh Remakery but due to current circumstances, they are now happening online via Zoom live!
These weekly classes share my passion for making books with remnant materials such as leather offcuts, textile samples, recycled card, paper, beads & buttons, and are a great option if you are keen to explore a range of different bookbinding techniques and make in the company of others.
We will meet on Zoom each week, over 5 sessions, to construct our books and I will follow up each session with a video tutorial that takes you through the stitching part, so that you can pause, rewind and replay as works best for you.
There will also be an optional Facebook group to keep in touch and share your creations in between classes and a list of useful resources with recommendations on bookbinding suppliers, books, podcasts and useful links to inspire and inform your bookbinding journey.
The classes will cover how to incorporate materials from your own collection into your books to give them that personal touch, so whether you plan on making books for yourself or as gifts…the possibilities are endless. It is an addictive craft – you’ve been warned!
